Title
Resolution approving a final Certified Survey Map for land generally located east of North Cass Street, north of East Clybourn Street and south of East Mason Street to divide unplatted land into four lots and to dedicate land for public street purposes, in the 4th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution approves a final Certified Survey Map that divides unplatted land into four lots to reflect existing conditions and creates a buildable site for a new development, known as The Couture, and it dedicates land for public street purposes as part of the Lakefront Gateway Project.
Body
Whereas, The Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, Chapter 119-5, Subdivision Regulations, requires City Plan Commission (“CPC”) approval, conditional approval or disapproval of all Certified Survey Maps (“CSMs”), which provide dedication of land to the City of Milwaukee (“City”) for public purposes; and
Whereas, The City received one final CSM, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File, which dedicates land to the City for public purposes; and
Whereas, In compliance with the above-referenced chapter of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, CPC reviewed and recommended approval of said CSM; and
Whereas, Because the CSM includes land owned by the City and under the jurisdiction of the Board of Harbor Commissioners, the CSM was reviewed and approved by the Board of Harbor Commissioners at its April 13, 2017 meeting; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following CSM is approved:
