Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2017 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Department of Administration, Department of Employee Relations, Health Department, Library, Police Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Department of Administration, Environmental Collaboration Office”, add three positions of “Graduate Intern”.
Under “Health Department, Family and Community Health Services Division, Milwaukee Breast Cancer Awareness Program”, delete one position of “Office Assistant II (GG)(JJ)” and add one position of “Public Health Educator II - Bilingual (GG)(JJ)”.
Under “Police Department”, add footnotes “(U)”, “(V)” and “(W)” to read as follows:
“(U) Milwaukee Joint Human Trafficking Task Force Grant. Position authority to expire if the project is discontinued or until 09/30/18 unless the Milwaukee Area Human Trafficking Task Force Grant funding is extended.”
“(V) POLICE DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS DECISION UNIT COPS Hiring Program (CHP) Grant. 15 grant funded police officer positions to expire 8/31/19 and maintained for a period of not less than 12-months following the end of the grant unless the grant is extended.”
“(W) Position authority to expire if the project is discontinued or until 09/30/18 unless the Byrne Crime Gun Intelligence Center Initiative Grant funding is extended.”
Under “Intelligence Fusion Center”, add one position of “Forensic Technician (W)”, one position of “Crime Analyst (0.50 FTE) (U)”, and one position of “Crime Analyst (W)”.
Under “Sensitive Crimes Division”, add one position of “Detective (U)”.
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2017 - January 1, 2017):
Under “Department of Employee Relations, Employee Benefits Division, Worker’s Compensation Section”, delete one position of “Program Assistant I” and add one position of “Paralegal”.
Under “Health Department, Family and Community Health Services Division, Community Healthcare Access Program”, delete one position of “Medical Assistance Outreach Coordinator (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Healthcare Access Program Manager (X)(Y)”.
Under “Empowering Families of Milwaukee Program (E)”, delete one position of “Health Project Coordinator - MCHVP (X)(E)(Y)” and add one position of “Health Project Coordinator - MCHVP (0.60 FTE) (X)(E)(Y)”.
Under “Consumer Environmental Health Division”, delete one position of “Environmental Health Specialist (X)” and add one position of “Consumer Environmental Health Coordinator (X)(Y)”.
Under “Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit, Administration Bureau, Administrative Services Division, Payroll and Accounting Section”, delete one position of “General Accounting Manager (Y)” and add one position of “Library Business Manager (Y)”.
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2017 (January 1, 2017).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
