Whereas, On July 31, 2006, the Common Council adopted File Number 060390, a resolution authorizing the Port of Milwaukee to apply for, accept and fund a Wisconsin Department of Transportation Harbor Assistance Grant for Liquid Cargo Pier rehabilitation and related work; and
Whereas, On November 25, 2014, the Common Council adopted File Number 141145, a resolution amending File Number 060390 to reflect the fact that the Liquid Cargo Pier rehabilitation project had not been undertaken and completed during the time period associated with the original grant; and
Whereas, File Number 141145 provides for operation of this grant-funded project from October 29, 2014 to December 31, 2015; and
Whereas, For various reasons, the Liquid Cargo Pier rehabilitation project was not undertaken and completed during this grant operation period; and
Whereas, The Port of Milwaukee has indicated that it is now ready to commence work on the Liquid Cargo Pier rehabilitation project; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council File Number 141145 is amended to provide for operation of the Liquid Cargo Pier rehabilitation project and related work from October 29, 2014 to December 31, 2017.
