This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $555,000 with the total cost estimated to be $6,620,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

1st Aldermanic District

W. Rohr Ave. - N. 48th St. to N. 49th St. (WT410170002): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $5,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $10,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $75,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2017 construction season.

2nd Aldermanic District

Hampton Avenue Bridge (6300 West) over the Lincoln Creek (BR100160103): Preliminary engineering for bridge rehabilitation. (City Share Non-assessable Structure Fund -- $200,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $2,200,000 This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2018 construction season.

5th Aldermanic District

Burleigh Street Bridges (9900 West) over the Menomonee River (BR100160104): Preliminary engineering for bridge rehabilitation. (City Share Non-assessable Structure Fund -- $300,000).
