Title:

Resolution authorizing the acceptance of additional funding for the Zoo Interchange Traffic Mitigation Project overtime agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

 

Analysis:

This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept additional funds for the Zoo Interchange Traffic Mitigation Project overtime agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in the amount of  $5,000 for a total of $30,000.  The purpose of this project is to fund overtime expenses for traffic control assistance and to ensure that emergency response capabilities are not adversely affected by roadway construction.

 

Body:

The Milwaukee Police entered into an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, authorized pursuant to Common Council File No. 141636 on March 31, 2015; and

                                          

Whereas, Funding for the period 1/01/15 to 12/31/15 was $25,000; and

 

Whereas, Funding for an additional $5,000 has now been provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Police Department is authorized to accept the additional funding without further approval unless the terms change as indicated in Section 304-81, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to increase the current budget by $5,000 for a grant total of $30,000; and, be it

 

1.  Expend from the amount budgeted for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date.
