Resolution approving the Land Disposition Report for the sale of Redevelopment Authority-owned vacant lots to adjoining owners for green space in various Aldermanic Districts.
Analysis
This resolution will permit the Redevelopment Authority to convey vacant lots according to the conditions in a Land Disposition Report.
Body
Whereas, The Department of City Development has received requests from property owners to purchase vacant lots adjacent to their property from the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee ("Authority") for use as green space; and
Whereas, On May 21, 2015, the Authority held a Public Hearing on the proposed sales as required by Wisconsin Statutes; and
Whereas, Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes and as a condition precedent to the sale, lease or transfer of land, the Authority submits a Land Disposition Report, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File, describing the terms and conditions of the proposed sales; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Land Disposition Report dated May 21, 2015, with respect to the proposed sale of the vacant lots listed in the Land Disposition Report is approved; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the net proceeds from the sales shall be returned to the Authority and/or the appropriate fund.
