Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Revised Project Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the reconstruction of the West Wisconsin Avenue from North 38th Street to North 35 Street to include additional funding for preliminary engineering with 92% State and Federal Aid funds under the Connecting Highway Program. The estimated total cost of the project is $2,073,000, which is an increase of $47,000, of which the City’s share is $11,750 and the grantor’s share is $35,250.

Whereas, A project agreement has been executed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the City of Milwaukee for the improvement of West Wisconsin Avenue from North 38th Street to North 35th Street using State and Federal Aid funds, in accordance with the Common Council resolution file number 140664, adopted September 23, 2014; and

Whereas, The City requested and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation approved additional funding for preliminary engineering; and

Whereas, A revised project agreement including costs for preliminary engineering has been received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, to be executed by the City of Milwaukee under the Connecting Highway Program; and
