Title:
Resolution authorizing acceptance of additional funding for the Law Enforcement Special Assignment Grant Agreement with the Bradley Center.
Analysis:
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept additional funds for the Law Enforcement Special Assignment Grant Agreement with the Bradley Center, in the amount of $100,000 for a grant total of $262,000.
Body:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for funding pursuant to the Law Enforcement Special Assignment Agreement with the Bradley Center; and
Whereas, Grant funding for the period of 10/1/13 to 09/30/15 was $162,000; and
Whereas, Additional funding of $100,000 has been provided by the Bradley Center; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Police Department is authorized to accept the additional funding without further approval unless its terms change as indicated in Section 304-81, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to increase the current agreement budget by $100,000 for a grant total of $262,000; and, be it
Further Resolved, That these funds are budgeted for the Milwaukee Police Department which is authorized to:
1. Expend from the amount budgeted for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date.
