Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File #140142 relative to acceptance and funding of the 2014-15 Wisconsin Well Woman Program Grant from the State of Wisconsin - Department of Health Services. The project will provide screening and lifestyle interventions to women ages 35 - 64 who are eligible for the Wisconsin Well Woman Program (Milwaukee Breast and Cervical Cancer Program).
BODY
Whereas, Common Council Resolution #140142 authorized The City of Milwaukee Health Department to accept and fund the Wisconsin Well Woman Program Grant from the State of Wisconsin - Department of Health Services for the purpose of screening and lifestyle interventions to low-income and under-served women 35-64 years of age. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $625,000; and
Whereas, The total expenditures of this program has been increased by $13,308 to a total of $638,308 of which is provided entirely by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that acceptance of this grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent of the 2015 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the program titled Wisconsin Well Woman Program Grant:
