Analysis:
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept a donation for a no-cost, 30-month lease of a 2015 Subaru WRX from Schlossman's Subaru City to be used by the Department's STOP Program.
Body:
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation, and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and
Whereas, Schlossman's Subaru City has offered a no-cost, 30-month lease of a 2015 Subaru WRX for use by the Milwaukee Police Department; and
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City of Milwaukee Police Department is authorized to accept a donation of a no-cost, 30-month lease of a 2015 Subaru WRX from the Schlossman's Auto Group; and, be it
Further Resolved, that such authority to accept donations for said purpose shall continue, unless otherwise rescinded or amended by future Common Council action.
