Analysis
This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said alley in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee for the purpose of consolidating land holdings.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that the North-South alley in the area bounded by North Hopkins Street, West Townsend Street, vacated North 26th Street and North 27th Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said alley in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
