Resolution relative to the cost participation and installation of monotube mast arm mounted traffic signals at twelve intersections on West Capitol Drive under a Highway Safety Improvement Program project in various Aldermanic Districts at a total estimated cost of $473,522.95, with an estimated grantor share of $426,170.65, and an estimated City share of $47,352.30, and to install these improvements upon execution of the agreement. This resolution also authorizes the Comptroller to establish and transfer funds to the appropriate accounts for the project. The total estimated cost of the entire project is $1,669,800, with a grantor share of $1,350,000, and a City share of $319,800.

Whereas, A State Municipal Agreement for the installation of traffic signal improvements at the twelve intersections on West Capitol Drive under the 2015 Highway Safety Improvement Program was approved by the Common Council under File Number 120993; and,

Whereas, The Highway Safety Improvement Program provides cost participation for traffic signal and other improvements to reduce the frequency and severity of vehicle and pedestrian crashes; and

Whereas, The intersections of West Capitol Drive at North 60th Street, North 56th Street, North Sherman Boulevard, West Roosevelt Drive-North 35th Street, North 34th Street, North 31st Street, North 27th Street, North Teutonia Avenue, North 20th Street, West Atkinson Avenue, North Green Bay Avenue-North Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, and North 7th Street have been identified for the inst...
