Resolution amending Resolution File Number 130978 relating to the ATF/Milwaukee Firearms/Violent Crimes Impact Team task force grant.
 
Analysis:      
This resolution amends Resolution File Number #130978, adopted on November 26, 2013, which approved an ATF/Milwaukee Firearms/Violent Crimes Impact Team task force grant  from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, so that the Police Department can accept additional grant funding of $37,996.77 for a grant total of $87,996.77.

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 130978 on November 26, 2013 approving an ATF/Milwaukee Firearms/ Violent Crimes Impact Team task force grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; and
 
Whereas, Grant funding for the period of October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014, was $50,000; and
 
Whereas, File Number 140109 adopted by the Common Council on June 3, 2014 increased the total funding to $87,996.77; and
 
Whereas, Additional funding of $31,980.02 has been provided by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Resolution File Number 130978 adopted on November 26, 2013, is amended by deleting the amount "$87,996.77" in the 1st "Further Resolved" clause under Item 1, and inserting in lieu thereof the amount "$119,976.79", thereby increasing the grant by $31,980.02.
