An ordinance relating to the distribution of the city code and charter to various governmental agencies.

Analysis
This ordinance establishes that effective January 1, 2015, the distribution to various City departments and agencies of the city code and charter and supplements thereto shall be discontinued in hard-copy format.  
 
After January 1, 2015, distribution of supplements updating the city code and charter will only be made electronically through the E-Notify system.  Supplements attached to each electronic notice will be provided for printing by users in the same format that is currently provided in hard copy to subscribers.
 
The ordinance makes no changes to the sale to the public of the city code and charter in hard-copy format or the provision of amendment services to the public for a fee.
Body
 
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
 
Part 1.  Section 50-20-1 of the code is amended to read:
50-20. Sale and Distribution of City Code and Charter.  
 
1. SALES. Copies of the city code and charter >>and the provision of amendment services<< shall be sold for the [[fee listed]] >>fees specified<< under s. 81-35.5, except as otherwise provided in this section.
 
Part 2. Section 50-20-2 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
 
2. DISTRIBUTION. Copies of the city code and charter and the provision of amendment services shall be distributed electronically to city departments and agencies and public subscribers without charge.
 
Part 3. This ordinance takes effect January 1, 2015.
