Analysis
This ordinance reduces the composition of the advisory council from 13 members to 12 members by removing the chair of the community and economic development committee from the membership of the advisory council.
Currently, the mayor and chair of the community and economic development committee are co-chairs of the advisory council. This ordinance also amends the organization of the black male achievement advisory council by designating the chair of the judiciary and legislation committee as co-chair of the advisory council. In addition, the chair judiciary and legislation committee shall designate a vice-chair.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 320-29-3-0 of the code is amended to read:
320-29. Black Male Achievement Advisory Council.
3. COMPOSITION. The advisory council shall be composed of the following [[13]] >>12<< members, each of whom shall be subject to confirmation by the common council:
Part 2. Section 320-29-3-j of the code is repealed.
Part 3. Section 320-29-3-k of the code renumbered 320-29-3-j.
Part 4. Section 320-29-5 of the code is amended to read:
5. ORGANIZATION. The advisory council shall meet at least monthly and may meet at such additional times as the advisory council determines or the chair directs. The mayor shall be honorary co-chair of the advisory council; his or her attendance at meetings shall not be required. [[The chair of the community and economic development committee shall be co-chair of the advisory council.]] The chair of the judiciary and legislation committee shall be [[vice-chair]] >>co-chair<< of the advisory council. >>The chair of the judiciary and legislation committee shall designate a vice-chair.<< Advisory council members shall receive no compensation.
