Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $525,000 with the total cost estimated to be $1,875,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

3rd and 6th Aldermanic Districts

Pleasant Street Lift Bridge over the Milwaukee River (BR100070104): Painting and structural steel repairs. (City Share Non-assessable Structure Fund -- $100,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $1,400,000). This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2008 construction season.

4th Aldermanic District

N. 31st St. - W. McKinley Blvd. to 300 feet m/l north of W. McKinley Blvd. (SM495070043): Relay combined sewer. The total estimated cost for this project is $50,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.

City Wide (BR100070101): Various bridge safety inspections. (City Share Non-assessable Structure Fund -- $125,000). The total estimated cost for this project is $125,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2007 construction season.
