Title
Resolution designating the Louis Auer & Son Houses at 2015, 2019, 2025 and 2029 East Kenwood Boulevard, as Historic Structures, in the 3rd Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution designates the Louis Auer & Son Houses at 2015, 2019, 2025 and 2029 East Kenwood Boulevard.
Body
Whereas, The Milwaukee Historic Preservation Ordinance, Section 308-81 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, as amended, provides that Historic Sites, Structures and Districts may be designated by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee upon the recommendation of the Historic Preservation Commission; and

Whereas, The Historic Preservation Commission recommends that the Louis Auer & Son Houses at 2015, 2019, 2025 and 2029 East Kenwood Boulevard be designated as Historic Structures; and

Whereas, These structures possess integrity of location, design, setting, materials, workmanship and association and fulfill the following criterion set forth in Section 308-81(2)(e):

e-5. Its embodiment of the distinguishing characteristics of an architectural type or specimen.

e-8. Its relationship to other distinctive areas, which are eligible for preservation according to a plan based on a historic, cultural or architectural motif.

; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Louis Auer & Son Houses at 2015, 2019, 2025 and 2029 East Kenwood Boulevard, and further described as follows:

Gross Park in W 1/2 of NW 1/4 SEC 15-7-22 Block 2 W 3’ Lot 2 and E 37’ Lot 3 (2019 East Kenwood Boulevard)

Gross Park in W 1/2 of NW 1/4 SEC 15-7-22 Block 2 W 3’ Lot 1 and E 37’ Lot 2 (2025 East Kenwood Boulevard)
