Title:

Analysis:

This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept a donation of a taser camera from William Gielow.

Body:

Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation, and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and

Whereas, William Gielow has offered to donate a taser camera for use by the Milwaukee Police Department; and

Whereas, This taser camera will allow the capture of vital information prior to, during, and after the deployment of a taser; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City of Milwaukee Police Department is authorized to accept a donation of a taser camera from William Gielow; and, be it

Further Resolved, that such authority to accept donations for said purpose shall continue, unless otherwise rescinded or amended by future Common Council action.
