Body
Whereas, On May 21, 1999, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 990109 authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a document titled “State/Municipal Agreement for a Highway Improvement Project” with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) for the programming and construction of South Whitnall Avenue from South Clement Avenue to Old South Brust Avenue with Federal/State Aid; and

Whereas, Resolution File Number 990109 also authorized the Commissioner of Public Works to negotiate and enter into a cost sharing agreement with the City of St. Francis covering the local share of the preliminary engineering, plan preparation, and construction costs, including the costs associated with the subject storm sewer; and

Whereas, The construction of the paving and sewer work was completed in 2001; and

Whereas, The two municipalities negotiated a separate agreement to cover future maintenance of the storm sewer and related drainage items constructed with the roadway, in accordance with the provisions outlined in the cost sharing agreement; now, therefore, be it
