Analysis
This resolution approves a Letter of Agreement between the Milwaukee County Department of Transportation and Public Works, Airport Division and the Milwaukee Fire Department. The Letter of Agreement augments the current Lease Agreement to provide for the operating procedures and responsibilities for emergency service on and in the vicinity of the Lawrence J. Timmerman Airport.

Body
Whereas, Common Council Resolution 71-1841-p established a Lease Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County for a term of fifty years that commenced July 1, 1975 and expires June 30, 2025; and

Whereas, The Lease agreement enabled the City of Milwaukee to construct a fire station known as Engine Company 4 located at 9511 West Appleton Avenue on County land known as the Lawrence J. Timmerman Airport ; and

Whereas, In return, the City of Milwaukee Fire Department is required to maintain and furnish firefighting equipment and personnel that is available on the premises at the time of an emergency, and to quickly and efficiently handle all crash-fire-rescue operations occurring at the Lawrence J. Timmerman Airport, at no cost to the County; and

Whereas, Milwaukee County has submitted a Letter of Agreement to provide for the operating procedures and responsibilities for emergency service on and in the vicinity of the Lawrence J. Timmerman Airport; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee Fire Department wishes to enter into the proposed Letter of Agreement: now, therefore, be it
