Title

Substitute resolution permitting a minor modification to the Detailed Planned Development known as Columbia St. Mary’s Prospect West, Phase 1, located on the North Side of East North Avenue and West of North Prospect Avenue, in the 3rd Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This substitute resolution allows for the final approval of all building mounted signage and the construction sign, which meet the specifications for wall signs previously approved for the Detailed Planned Development (DPD). Excluded from this approval are freestanding signs identified in the submitted sign plans as Nos. 16, 18 and 24, which were not part of the approved DPD.

Body

Whereas, Section 295-907-3(i) of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances permits variation to planned developments after approval of the Common Council; and

Whereas, The detailed plan for a planned development known as Columbia St. Mary’s Prospect West, Phase 1, was approved by the Common Council on May 3, 2005, under File No. 031747; and

Whereas, The proposed building mounted signage and the construction sign for the Detailed Planned Development are consistent with the spirit and intent of the approved plan and will not adversely affect surrounding development and a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File as Exhibit A which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and made a part as though fully set forth herein; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the minor modification to the approved plan permitting the building mounted signage and construction sign and excluding the freestanding signs identified in the submitted sign plans as Nos. 16, 18 and 24, is approved.
