Substitute resolution relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Childhood Immunization Disparities Grant.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Childhood Immunization Disparities Grant project from the Centers for Disease Control in the amount of $300,000 to reduce immunization disparities and increase immunization rates.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Centers for Disease Control to reduce immunization disparities and increase immunization rates; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 09/30/06 to 09/29/07 would cost $300,000 provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Centers for Disease Control is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 030712 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2006 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled Childhood Immunization Disparities Grant:
