This resolution authorizes the City Attorney to request proposals for the collection contracts for receivables of the City of Milwaukee, to commence January 1, 2007, and for Municipal Court judgments, to commence April 1, 2007.
Body
Whereas, on January 2, 2002, the City of Milwaukee entered into a contract with the Kohn Law Firm for the collection of City receivables, to expire December 31, 2006; and on March 26, 2002, the City of Milwaukee entered into a contract with Professional Placement Services, L.L.C. for the collection of Municipal Court judgments, to expire March 31, 2007; and
Whereas, The City must request proposals from prospective contractors for collection contracts to commence upon expiration of the existing agreements; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Attorney is authorized to request proposals for the contracts for the collection of City receivables, to commence on January 1, 2007, and for the collection of Municipal Court judgments, to commence on April 1, 2007.
