Title
Resolution permitting a minor modification to the Detailed Planned Development (DPD) known as Southgate Marketplace, located on the West Side of South 27th Street and South of West Oklahoma Avenue, in the 11th Aldermanic District. (DCD)
Analysis
This resolution approves modification to previously approved plans to allow for the installation of a reverse vending machine for aluminum can recycling for the public.
Body
Whereas, Section 295-814(5) of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances permits modifications to planned developments after approval of the Common Council; and
 
Whereas, The detailed plan for a planned development known as Southgate Marketplace was approved by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on June 22, 1999, under File No. 981436; and
 
Whereas, Automated Recycling is requesting to modify the previously approved plans to allow for the installation of a reverse vending machine for aluminum can recycling for the public with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Wal-Mart Children's Miracle Network; and
 
Whereas, The proposed reverse vending machine is consistent with the spirit and intent of the approved detailed plan, will not adversely affect surrounding development and a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File as Exhibit A which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and made a part as though fully set forth herein; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the minor modification to allow for the installation of a reverse vending machine that was not previously approved as part of the Detailed Planned Development is approved.
