Resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to issue a permit to Bentley Construction Services allowing temporary occupancy of the right turn by-pass lanes of North Prospect Avenue at East Bradford Avenue for use in conjunction with planned improvements at the Milwaukee Protestant Home, 2429 East Bradford Avenue. - ANALYSIS - This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to issue a permit for occupancy of the public way to Bentley Construction Services. The area to be occupied is the right turn by-pass connecting North Prospect Avenue to East Bradford Avenue. Occupancy would be from September of 2000 through August of 2001. The street area would be used for construction staging in conjunction with improvements being made to the Protestant Home, 2429 East Bradford Avenue.
BODY:
Whereas, Bentley Construction Services are making improvements to the parking facilities at the Milwaukee Protestant Home, 2429 East Bradford Avenue; and
Whereas, The construction site is constrained; and
Whereas, During construction, Bentley wishes to disrupt as little as possible the existing on-site parking thereby minimizing the impact upon on-street parking in the neighborhood; and
Whereas, The project is expected to last from September of 2000 to August of 2001; and
Whereas, Bentley has requested permission to occupy the right turn by-pass section of North Prospect Avenue where the street intersects with East Bradford Avenue during this time frame; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to issue permits for temporary occupancy of up to one-third of public rights-of-way while temporary use beyond that must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
