Title
A substitute ordinance relating to the change in zoning from Single-Family Residential to Multi-Family Residential on a portion of excess highway lands, located on the south side of West Layton Avenue, east of Interstate I-94, for parking expansion, in the 13th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This zoning change was initiated by the City of Milwaukee and will allow for expansion of parking for the adjacent Islamic Center.

Resolved, That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, do ordain as follows:
Part 1. There is added to the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances a new section to read as follows:
Section 295-501.3.0002. The zoning map is amended to change the zoning for that part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 30, Township 6 North, Range 22 East, in the City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, described as follows: Commence at the northeast corner of said Section; run thence North 89°28'23" West 374.42 feet along the north line of said Section; thence South 00°31'37" West 60.00 feet to the south line of Layton Avenue and the easterly line of Interstate Highway 94, to the point of beginning of this description; thence North 89°28'23" West 560.43 feet along the south line of Layton Avenue; thence South 14°11'04" West 694.14 feet to the easterly line of Interstate Highway 94; thence North 47°34'00" East 479.97 feet along said easterly line; thence South 89°28'26" East 14.07 feet along said easterly line; thence North 00°36'30" East 13.12 feet along said easterly line; thence North 47°34'00" East 490.53 feet along said easterly line to the point of beginning; containing 4.34 acres of land, more or less, from Single-Family Residential (RS5) to Multi-Family Residential (RM1).
