Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on 11/03/10 approved the anticipated HUD funding awards for the 2011 program year as follows: CDBG $18,200,000; HOME $6,800,000; ESG $740,186; and HOPWA $574,936; and

Whereas, The Community Development Grants Administration (CDGA) was notified by HUD that the actual 2011 funding awards are as follows: CDBG $15,282,256; HOME $6,091,162; ESG $740,157 and HOPWA $576,432; and

Whereas, The decrease for CDBG is $2,917,744, and the decrease for HOME is $708,838. The decrease for ESG is $29, and the increase for HOPWA is $1,496. The decrease to CDBG will be partially offset with reprogrammed CDBG funds in the amount of $1,604,745. The remaining shortfall will result in a reduction to all 2011 funded entities; the decrease to HOME will be offset with reprogrammed HOME funds in the amount of $1,179,841 and a reduction to the Owner-Occupied activity. The Youth Council will receive the amount of $25,000 from the CDBG contingency account. Refer to Attachment A for specific details; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee hereby approves the changes to the 2011 HUD awards as stated In Attachment A; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Community Development Grants Administration is responsible for awarding Subrecipient contracts for these approved activities; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Subrecipient organizations shall submit budget and activity reports in amounts and according to any conditions approved by the Common Council and in accordance with File Number 74-92-5v, to the Community Development Grants Administration and the City Comptroller...
