Mr. Jones noted the work was not only for the carpentry, but also for the construction of the panels that will be utilized to build the units. Great Lakes has performed satisfactorily in the past, their bid came in under the cost estimate and was vetted to ensure that it complied with the scope of the services requested. Great Lakes is not a certified Emerging Business Enterprise in the State of Wisconsin, or any other Wisconsin certifying agency. WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Housing Authority) solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 58127 during the period January 26, 2024 through February 23, 2024 for Rough Carpentry for Single-Family Market-Rate Townhomes Phase 5C-1 at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and

WHEREAS, one (1) sealed bid was received by the deadline of 2:00 (CST) on February 23, 2024; and

WHEREAS, the sealed bid was received and publicly opened on February 23, 2024, during which the bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

WHEREAS, Great Lakes Components LLC, a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $860,000.00; therefore, be it,

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Great Lakes Components LLC for Rough Carpentry for Single-Family Market-Rate Townhomes Phase 5C-1 at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from the State of Wisconsin American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and Housing Authority Non-Federal sources; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Housing Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Housing Authority; and, be it
