This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute a Quit Claim Deed (QCD-2868) document conveying the sanitary sewer located in vacated North 55^th Street between vacated West Fiebrantz Avenue and vacated West Medford Avenue, to 54^th Street LLC in the 2^nd Aldermanic District. The sewer is being conveyed because it is no longer needed for public use.

Body

Whereas, In 1956, the City of Milwaukee constructed an 8-inch diameter sanitary sewer in North 55^th Street, from West Fiebrantz Avenue to West Medford Avenue; and

Whereas, North 55^th Street was vacated by the City of Milwaukee in 1975 and is now owned by 54^th Street LLC; and

Whereas, Said sewer no longer serves the public interest; and

Whereas, 54^th Street LLC has agreed to accept ownership of said sewer; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers, including the DPW Commissioner, are hereby authorized: (i) to sign the Quit Claim Deed document (QCD-2868), in the form and substance submitted to this file (or in substantially the same form and substance as submitted, and to effectuate the intent of this resolution); and (ii) to cause the same to be recorded in the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds Office.
