Title
Resolution relating to the transfer of ownership of a Village of Menomonee Falls-owned sanitary sewer located in the City of Milwaukee to the City.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the proper City officials to execute, without further Common Council approval, the document(s) necessary to accept ownership of the Village of Menomonee Falls-owned sanitary sewer located in the City just southeast of the intersection of West Good Hope Road and North 124th Street from the Village, upon satisfaction of the following conditions:

1. The Menomonee Falls Village Board approves a resolution to transfer ownership of the sewer to the City.

2. The developer pays the Village of Menomonee Falls $9,000 for the sewer on behalf of the City.

3. The document(s) contain the language necessary to provide the 2 properties in Menomonee Falls that are currently connected to this sewer with continued access to the sewer.
Body
Whereas, In 1974, the Village of Menomonee Falls (“Village”) petitioned the City of Milwaukee (“City”) for permission to construct a sanitary sewer from the Village limits at North 124th Street and West Good Hope Road to a Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District municipal intercepting sewer located approximately 800 feet east of North 124th Street and 80 feet south of West Good Hope Road in the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, The City granted the Village permission to construct the sewer, which it did in 1975 and which it subsequently used as an outlet for a temporary force main sanitary sewer for Village properties located north of West Good Hope Road until it constructed its own sanitary sewer system for this area; and
