Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions, determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct and levy special assessments for the following improvements:

3rd Aldermanic District

E. Locust St. - N. Lake Dr. to N. Maryland Ave. (ST211060116) File Number 070660: Asphalt pavement resurfacing, replace all curb and gutter, narrowing the roadway from 40 feet to 36 feet, sidewalk and driveway approaches where needed, sodding, grading, and tree removal where necessary. Install traffic calming devices. (Assessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $47,000; Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $575,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $690,900. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2008 construction season.
