Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2008 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

Analysis

This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following department:

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 070605 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under “Police Department, Administration Services Decision Unit, Office of the Chief of Police”, add one position of “Chief of Staff Police”; under “Office of the Assistant Chief”, delete one position of “Inspector of Police”; under “Field Inspection Division”, delete one position of “Deputy Inspector of Police”; under “Administration Bureau”, delete one position of “Deputy Chief of Police” and add one position “Assistant Chief of Police” and one position of “Police Information Systems Director”; under ‘Operations Decision Unit, Patrol Bureau”, delete one position of “Deputy Chief of Police” and add one position of “Assistant Chief of Police”; under “Criminal Investigation Bureau”, delete one position of “Deputy Chief of Police” and add one position of “Assistant Chief of Police.”

Part 2.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 3.  The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

Part 4.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
