Body
Whereas, The applicant is requesting permission to construct and maintain a concrete platform with steps and excess door swing to allow for an additional exit; and

Whereas, Said items may only legally encroach into the public right-of-way by the granting of a special privilege resolution adopted by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Bootlegger’s of Milwaukee LLC, 6216 Baker Road, Suite 200, Eden Prairie, Minnesota 55346 is hereby granted the following special privilege:

1. To construct and maintain a concrete platform with steps in the public way. Said concrete platform with steps will project 4 feet 4 inches into the 20-foot wide east-west public alley in the block bounded by North 4th Street, West Highland Avenue, North Old World Third Street and West State Street. The platform with steps will measure 9 feet 11 inches long and will be supported by concrete footings. The platform with steps will have a metal handrail.

2. To construct and maintain a door swing that, when fully open, will project up to 3 feet into the 20-foot wide east-west alley in the block bounded by North 4th Street, West Highland Avenue, North Old World Third Street and West State Street. The door swing will open over the platform of Item #1 and will project into the public right-of-way more than the 12 inches allowed under Section 245-4-8 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
