Title

Resolution authorizing a permanent sewer easement with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District at the properties at 2919 and 2931 West Cameron Avenue for the North 27th Street Inline Storage System Extension Project, in the 1st Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution will permit the City of Milwaukee to execute an easement with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District.

Body

Whereas, The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (“MMSD”) is conducting the North 27th Street Inline Storage System Extension Project and needs a permanent sewer under the City ward yard and water works facility at 2919 and 2931 West Cameron Avenue for the project; and

 

Whereas, The easement, which will be 200 feet below grade of the properties and will not interfere with the City’s use of the properties, will be provided at no cost to MMSD; and

 

Whereas, The easement and a map of the easement area, copies of which are attached to this Common Council File, were prepared and are submitted for Common Council approval; and

 

Whereas, The City Engineer has checked the legal descriptions and location drawings; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the easement at the properties at 2919 and 2931 West Cameron Avenue with MMSD is approved; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the Commissioner of the Department of Public Works or designee, is authorized to execute the same on behalf of the City of Milwaukee; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That after said easement is fully executed and recorded, a copy shall be returned to the City Engineer.
