Title

Resolution approving the Land Disposition Report for the properties between 20th and 24th Streets and North Avenue to Brown Street for sale to a for-profit corporation comprised of Legacy Midwest Renewal Corporation, Irgens Development Partners, and Williams Development Corporation for residential development, in the 15th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution will permit the Redevelopment Authority to accept and convey said land according to the conditions in the Land Disposition Report.

Body

Whereas, Legacy Midwest Renewal Corporation, Irgens Development Partners, and Williams Development Corporation are proposing to purchase property located between 20th and 24th Streets and North Avenue to Brown Street (the “Properties”); and

 

Whereas, On December 15, 2005, the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (“Authority”) held a Public Hearing on the proposed sale as required by Wisconsin Statutes; and

 

Whereas, On September 26, 2006, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee through File No. 051272 approved a Land Disposition Report for the Properties, dated December 15, 2005; and

 

Whereas, The terms of the December 15, 2005, Land Disposition Report changed; and

 

Whereas, Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes and as a condition precedent to the sale, lease or transfer of land, the Authority submits herewith a revised Land Disposition Report describing the terms and conditions of the proposed sale; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Land Disposition Report dated June 21, 2007, is approved.
