This resolution directs the Department of City Development to coordinate and report semiannually the status of all lease agreements entered into as landlord by the City and its affiliated departments and agencies, except lease agreements relating to
one-to 4-unit residential properties acquired by the City through the in rem tax foreclosure process.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee often enters into agreements with private entities to lease City-owned premises; and

Whereas, It is sound management practice and in the best interest of the City that the Common Council be periodically apprised of the status of the lease agreements the City enters into, including the operation of the leased premises, rent arrearages and any non-compliance with the terms of the lease agreements; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council directs the Department of City Development to coordinate and report semiannually the status of all current lease agreements entered into as landlord by the City and its affiliated departments and agencies, except lease agreements relating to one-to 4-unit residential properties acquired by the City through the in rem tax foreclosure process; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Department of City Development shall submit reports to the Common Council on or before June 30 and December 31 of each year, beginning with June 30, 2013, that include for each leased premise:

1. The current status of operation at the leased premise.
2. The amount of arrearages in rent, if any.
3. Any non-compliance with the terms of the leas...
