Resolution relating to the transfer of Juvenile Accountability Block Grant funds from the State of Wisconsin, Office of Justice Assistance to the Running Rebels Inc.
 
Analysis:
This resolution authorizes the transfer of Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG) funds from the State of Wisconsin, Office of Justice Assistance awarded initially to the Latino Community Center be transferred to the Running Rebels, Inc.
                        
Body:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee has previously approved the JABG award of $21,437 to the Latino Community Center under file number 111562 to operate the School Safety Program; and
            
Whereas, The Latino Community Center has notified CDGA that their organization cannot utilize the JABG funding because they are no longer the lead agency for this activity; and
 
Whereas, CDGA recommends transferring the $21,437 awarded to Latino Community Center to the Running Rebels, Inc; now therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Running Rebels, Inc. receives the JABG award in the amount of $21,437; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Community Development Grants Administration is responsible for awarding a subrecipient contract for this organization; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the subrecipient organization shall submit budget and activity reports to the Community Development Grant Administration and the City Comptroller office for review and approval.
