Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File 111049 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the 2012 Women, Infants and Children’s Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health Services. The purpose of the project is to prevent nutrition-related health problems and to improve the health status of low-income, at-risk pregnant or breast-feeding women, infants and children up to the age of five years.

Whereas, Common Council File 111049 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the 2012 Women, Infants and Children’s Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $1,361,334; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program remains the same; now, therefore be
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant changes as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2012 Positions Ordinance C.C. File Number 110441, should be amended as follows:
