Analysis
This ordinance increases various food license, precious metal and gem dealer, secondhand dealer, and public passenger vehicle fees. This ordinance takes effect March 16, 2012.
Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 60-21-7 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:

60-21. Food Dealer’s License.
7. License renewals shall be filed by the deadline established by the city clerk. There shall be an additional fee for the filing of a late renewal application in the amount of $75. Late renewal applications filed 10 days or less before their expiration shall be assessed an additional fee of $125.

Part 2. Section 60-21-10 of the code is created to read:

10. The fee for a licensed food establishment that extends its operation to the outside on a permanent basis shall be $50. Locations filing for alcohol beverage extensions under s. 81-90 at the same time shall be charged a total fee of $75.

Part 3. Section 60-23-3-d of the code is repealed and recreated to read:

60-23. Temporary Food Dealer’s License.
3. FEES.
d. Temporary extension. The following fees shall apply to a licensed food establishment that extends its operation to the outside on a temporary basis:
d-1. $50, if the application is filed on or before the filing deadline established by the city clerk.
d-2. $100, if the application is filed after the filing deadline established by the city clerk.

Part 4. Section 60-23-4 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
