This ordinance establishes definitions for food distributors and manufacturers for the purpose of food license regulations.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 68-1 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
68-1. Definitions. In this chapter:
1. FOOD means all articles of food, drink or condiment, including ice and water used for human consumption, whether simple, mixed, or compound, and articles used or intended for use as ingredients in the composition or preparation thereof.
2. FOOD DISTRIBUTOR means an individual who transports food for sale to retail and wholesale establishments and does not perform any processing or repacking of food items.
3. FOOD MANUFACTURER means an individual who uses raw ingredients to create a new food product for sale to retail or wholesale establishments
