Analysis
This ordinance establishes the following:
1. The content of a public passenger vehicle test shall be established by the city clerk.
2. Any applicant taking a public passenger vehicle test shall present for the purpose of identification a valid state of Wisconsin motor vehicle driver's license to the examiner at the time of testing.
3. Each applicant shall pay to the city clerk at the time of application the appropriate license fee and registration fee for any required test.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 81-44.7-5 of the code is amended to read:

81-44.7. Driver's License, Public Passenger Vehicle.

Part 2. Section 100-54-2-0 of the code is amended to read:

100-54. Driver's License.

2. QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION. Each applicant for a driver's license shall pay [[a fee]] >>to the city clerk at the time of application the appropriate license fee and registration fee for any test administered under this section<< as provided in s. 81-44.7 and shall:

2. QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION.

e. Be able to read, write and speak the English language to the extent necessary to operate a public service vehicle licensed by the city. In order to satisfy this requirement, applicants must pass a test >>established by the city clerk<< regarding knowledge of city streets, major buildings, facilities and city regulations regarding public passenger vehicles.
