Analysis
This ordinance provides notice to the owner or operator of a vehicle that the vehicle will be subject to towing if it is placed for sale on public property without a proper certificate authorizing sale and if, after 24 hours, that vehicle remains for sale on public property without a proper certificate.
This ordinance does not affect the requirement that any vehicle for sale on public property, with or without a certificate authorizing sale, is subject to all other parking requirements.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 101-29-6 of the code is created to read:
101-29. Vehicles For Sale On Public Property.
6. TOWING. Upon citation for a violation of this section, notice shall be affixed to the vehicle advising the owner or operator that the vehicle will be subject to towing if, after 24 hours from the citation, the vehicle is found in violation of this section.
