Substitute resolution relating to the appeal of Ida Smith relative to a claim for property damage.

Body

Whereas, Members of the Common Council have reviewed the records relating to this claim in the amount of $250.00, relating to damage allegedly sustained to a vehicle on April 15, 2005 when you allegedly hit a rock while driving at or near North 70^th Street and Marion Street. Members of the Common Council recommend that the claimant be reimbursed  $250.00; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of  $250.00 payable to Ida Smith, 4267 North 70th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53216, to reimburse her for the damage; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 636505,  Fund - 0001, Organization - 1490, Program - 2631, Sub Class - S118.  This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident.
