ANLS:
This resolution declares the Common Council's support of the United States Payroll Savings Bonds Program, requests that City Department heads cooperate in the person-to- person campaign, and designates City Comptroller W. Martin Morics as the City's Campaign Coordinator
BODY:
Whereas, For over 50 years, Savings Bonds have provided our citizens with an easy, regular and secure way to save and invest for tomorrow's financial security; and
Whereas, Buying bonds helps the national economy and gives City employees the opportunity to take stock in America; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it herewith declares its support of the United States Payroll Savings Bonds Program; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller, W. Martin Morics, shall serve as Coordinator of the City's 1997 person-to-person campaign; and, be it
Further Resolved, That all City of Milwaukee department heads are hereby requested to give full cooperation and support to those persons responsible for conducting the person-to-person 1997 United States Savings Bonds Campaign; and, be it
Further Resolved, That copies of this resolution go forth to all concerned, including the Secretary of the Treasury and the Wisconsin Savings Bonds Division, so that they may be aware that the Milwaukee Common Council urges support of this program.
