PURPOSE: Conduct examinations for the licensing of
various classes of electricians; suspend or revoke licenses upon complaint
and proper review.
COMPOSITION: 5 members who shall serve 3 year terms:
one member shall be a registered electrical engineer, one an electrical
contractor regularly engaged in the electrical contracting business, one
a journeyman electrician who has had at least 6 years practical experience
in general electrical work, one person who has had at least 6 years of
practical electrical experience in the installation of elevators and one
person who shall not be actively engaged in the electrical contracting
business, but who has a practical knowledge of electricity. Members
shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by the Common Council.
